Antisemitism and the Law

This panel discussion will examine how antisemitism is addressed within existing and emerging legal frameworks. The conversation will explore how legal approaches and remedies may be evolving in response to recent developments.

  • Analyze legal considerations surrounding “buffer zones,” including First Amendment implications.
  • Evaluate the legal landscape of anti-masking laws and issues related to anonymity and public safety.

Faculty:

Sarah Kader is an attorney and advocate who serves as Deputy Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League’s Desert Region, covering Arizona and Nevada. A former disability rights attorney and public policy leader in Arizona, she now responds to incidents of antisemitism and extremism, supports schools and communities, and advocates for policy change. The granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, Sarah is deeply committed to combating hate and strengthening community resilience.

Kevin Kampschror is a senior associate at Sgro & Roger and a workers’ compensation specialist who has represented nearly 10,000 injured workers before Nevada administrative bodies and courts. A magna cum laude graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law, he is also active in the community and serves on the executive board of the Anti-Defamation League Nevada, with extensive pro bono work and advocacy experience.

Steve Sheinberg is the inaugural Chief Legacy Officer at the Anti-Defamation League, where he oversees governance across ADL entities and works to protect and advance the organization’s historic mission. A longtime ADL leader and former Chief Legal Officer, he has played a key role in civil rights initiatives, including litigation against antisemitism and extremism, and provides strategic legal counsel on organizational and mission-related matters.

Tori Sundheim, JD, LLM, is Assistant Staff Counsel to the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, where she represents Regulatory Operations Staff in proceedings before the Commission. A former Deputy Attorney General, she is active in bar leadership and community service, including roles with the State Bar’s Energy Section and the Nevada Jewish Bar Association, and previously chaired the City of Reno’s Human Rights Commission.
