Attorney Richard "Ricky" De Jong passed away on June 15, 2026 from a sudden catastrophic illness, days before he was to be married to his fiancé. He was only 41 years old. Ricky was a trial lawyer for Hall Prangle and joined the Northern Nevada legal community in 2019 after moving from Chicago. He contributed to the defense bar by serving on the Association of Defense Counsel and had many friends in the Reno community. His loss is greatly felt.
